I just recently attended Summer in the Meadow, the Shakespeare Festival's offering of great theater in the Evergreen field, north of Loyola's campus. What a fabulous time! Tickets are $25 at the "door," a bit less if you are a student or purchase will call seats. Though a bit pricey, I felt the experience was well worth the cost. A bunch of friends brought blankets and lawn chairs and wine and tasty finger foods, oh my!
Whether Shakespeare is one of your true loves, or you so enjoy the feeling of laying on a blanket over dewy grass in an alcove of forest, this magical event series is for you! While in some ways it's nice that there isn't a big crowd, a more substantial audience would definitely be appreciated by the cast and crew.
