Can anyone recommend a house painting company? Now that the whether is getting better its time to get some paint (on outside of) my house--don't think it has been painted in 30 odd years...

Don't ever use Strokes. I had them paint my victorian and it is peeling after 2 years. They also neglected to patch large holes and I have significant water damage in the walls. I told them I had a leak on that side and they just ignored the area. Horrible job. Run. This was my experience.

I'd recommend this company:  http://www.demartini-a...  One of the partner is good friends of my sister's husband & painted both of our houses about 2 years ago.  They prepped & painted on timeand & did stellar jobs.  As you may know,  get several written quotes from various painting contractors to see what you can have done & ask to see some of their previous work.  They can vary a lot.   Good luck!

I've used Dirk Taylor , owner of Picture Perfect Painting (www.pictureperfectpain...) 415-207-1775, as my painter on several San Francisco properties over the years.  He does excellent work for a fair price, and is great to work with.
